Saw Station Settings: Saw Properties

Summary

Open the Preset Manager > Saws/Tables window to set up and revise saw and table station settings for saw properties.

Field Descriptions

The following table lists field descriptions.

Section/Field

Description

Saw Type

Select the type of saw from the drop down list. The saw type determines the available saw files for this saw.

Square Cut Angle

Select the saw's square cut angle from the drop down list.

Number of Blades

Number of blades for this saw.

Saw Name

User defined name for a saw.

Parent Saw

Define a child saw by selecting another saw in the Parent Saw drop down list. This lets you duplicate the output criteria of the parent saw to an additional format. For example, when a Parent Saw is overloaded, work can be easily distributed to the Child Saw as the output file already exists. For details, see Parent Saw.

Saw Sorting

Opens the Sorting by Saw for Name of Saw window where you select the sorting criteria. For details, see Default Piece Sorting and Sorting by Saw. This sorting overrides the Default Piece Sorting for this saw.

Saw Rotation

Opens the Piece rotation settings for Cut Station "Name of Saw "window where you select the rotation settings. For details, see Piece Rotation Settings.

Min Ang

 

Minimum angle that a saw can cut.

Max Ang

Maximum angle that a saw can cut.

Max Cut

Maximum length of cut.

Kerf

Width of a cut made by the saw blade.

Accessing

1.  In the main Project List window, select Tools.

2.  Select Saws/Tables.

3.  In the Preset Manager, click to add a new saw or click to revise an existing saw.

4.  Revise the Saw Properties information.

5.  Click Close.
