Purpose |
Projects are stored on the server for access by all users. Use check out project to download project files and information to your local system for viewing or editing. Using Check Out Project locks the project. When the project is checked out, all changes made to the project are not saved until the project is checked back in. Clients must be connected to the network in order to access the server data. |

To check out a project:
Check Out Project for the Current Client
Check out project for edit allows the user to view information and verifies that the project is not currently being accessed by another user. The user can edit the project. When a project is checked out for edit by you, the When a project is checked out for edit or view, all required project data is transferred from the server to the client. This allows users to check out one or more projects for edit, and disconnect from the server if necessary. All edits are saved locally and project information must be synchronized in order to update the server data.
