In Client/Server Mode (a multi-user environment), projects are locked when checked out for edit and saved to the server when checked in. Files from the individual clients can easily be synched and refreshed to and from the server, respectively.
The following features are available in Client/Server mode:
Definitions
Client/Server Mode: Allows multiple users (clients) to access project information from a shared repository (server).
Server: The location where all shared project information is stored;.this includes database information as well as other project files.
Client: Individual users that can access and share data using a shared repository (server). Multiple clients are able to access a single server.
Access CS Director if Internet Connectivity Not Working
To log in to CS Director if the internet connection is not working:
1. Press and hold the SHIFT, when you click OK.
The following message displays.
2. Click Yes and you can access CS Director and work on projects that have already been checked out on your system. You do not have access to any data on the server if you do not have Internet connectivity.
