Purpose |
Use Rename Component to rename the component without entering the design application. If a component was created and is associated to a layout, the component must be relabeled within the design application. If a component is not associated to a layout, then rename a component using the following steps. |

Prerequisites |
Before renaming a component, a component, not associated with a layout, must already exist within the project.

Steps

To rename a component: 1. Select the Components Tab for a project. 2. Click to highlight an existing component.
3. Click Rename Component.
When the cursor is positioned over an existing component, this command is also available from the right-click menu.
4. Enter the new desired component name. 5. Click OK. |
