Purpose |
Use Copy Component to create a new component from an existing component. Copy Component is most effective when the new component is similar to the existing component. After the new truss is created, modify the new truss.

Prerequisites |
Before copying a component, the active component must exist within the project.

Steps
|
To copy a component: 1. Select the Components Tab for a project. 2. Click to highlight an existing component.
3. Click Copy Component.
When the cursor is positioned over an existing component, this command is also available from the right-click menu.
4. Enter name of the new component.
5. Click OK. |
