Sets Tab
The Sets tab contains a single representation of each
set in the project.
- Sets
are groupings (packages) of components or miscellaneous items.
- Sets
are used as a convenience for reporting and viewing because the entire
set is displayed as a single line item in Plans/Elevations.
- Items
in sets can be arranged into stacking order and sub-banded.
- Items
can be manually added to a set by dragging and dropping from the Components
or Miscellaneous Items tree.
- The
Component and Miscellaneous Items trees on the Sets tab contain the exact
items as on the Components tab and Miscellaneous Items tab.
- Sort
Order: The order that the items appear on the tree can be set to Alphanumeric
or to match the same order as exists on the Components tab and Miscellaneous
Items tab based on a user setting.
- The
selected sort order should be saved and reused in future sessions.
- When
items are added to the set tree by dragging and dropping from the Components
or Miscellaneous Items trees, they are not removed from the Components
or Miscellaneous Items trees.
- You
can drag and drop quantities for items from the Components and Sets trees;
quantities are initially set to 1.
- You
can manually adjust quantities for items by highlighting an item and editing
the Quantity.
- Quantities
for Sets are based on the number of elevations that reference the set
on the Plans/Elevations tab. For more details, see Plans/Elevations.
Components
and Miscellaneous Items may appear in a set one or more times; they may
appear in multiple sets and may appear independently in a Plan/Elevation.
