Purpose |
Reanalyze Truss allows one or more selected components to be reanalyzed from the Components tab. Reanalyze Truss can be used to:
Reanalyze Truss from CS Director only applies to CS Truss Studio designs. It does not apply for trusses designed in CS Truss (Legacy). |

Steps |
To reanalyze a truss: 1. In the Project List window, select a project. 2. Click Components.
3. Select one or more trusses to reanalyze. 4. Click Reanalyze Truss.
5. In the Reanalyze Selected Trusses window, select Studio Template from the drop down list. Studio Template displays a list of available templates in the project preset templates.
Project templates also display from Project Info > General > Project Properties > Settings section Preset Template (Based On) drop down list.
6. Select whether or not to Hold Lumber. 7. Select whether or not to Hold Plates. By using the Hold Lumber or Hold Plates options with the current selection, component status changes identify which trusses fail compared to the original design criteria. 8. Select one of the Unavailable Materials Option.
9. If edits to the Load Templates are needed, click Load Template Manager to open CS Truss Studio to the project’s CS Truss Studio > EnvData tab.
10. From the EnvData tab, click Load Template Manager to revise information.
11. After revising information, click Save. 12. Click OK to return to the EnvData tab. 13. Click Save. 14. Close CS Truss Studio. 15. Click Re-analyze and a Reanalyze Truss message displays.
16. After the truss is reanalyzed, the Analysis Status (# of components) window displays the selected settings along with the current analysis status for each component.
In addition, a Warning displays: To ensure that all loads have been transferred throughout all trusses correctly, please open the affected layouts and save them. This will be automated in a future version.
17. Click Print or Exit. |
