Batching Example - No Label Consolidation, Saw Files Consolidate at the Project

Purpose

This example covers the steps necessary to configure your Presets to allow No Label Consolidation, Saw Files Consolidate at the Project. This is an example of the Assembly report after the Preset edits.

Steps

No Label Consolidation, Saw Files Consolidate at the Project

1.  In the main Project List window, select Presets.

2.  Select Piece Labeling and Sequencing, and information displays to the right.

The Preset Manager > Fabrication > Piece Labeling and Sequencing window below displays the selections used to produce this example.

3.  For Process Unit > Cutting Output Consolidation By, select Project, so the saw file will consolidate pieces across project even if they don't have the same name.

4.  For Piece Labeling and Sequencing, so the boards start with T, B, W and G, select the following:

  • For Piece Label Prefix, select TBWGO, so the boards start with T, B, W, G, and O.

5.  For the Piece Sequencing, select the following:

  • Select Restart Sequence At > Truss, to have the numbering restart at every new truss.
  • Select Restart per Piece Type, to have each piece type start with a number 1 .
  • Select Chord Labeling Sequence > Left to Right Position on Truss, so the piece on the left side starts with 1 and continues across the truss so highest number ends on the right side.
  • Select Web Labeling Sequence > Left to Right Position on Truss, so the piece on the left side starts with 1 and continues across the truss so highest number ends on the right side.

6.  Select Piece Label Consolidation > No Consolidation, so that it does not consolidate any of the same pieces with the same name.

7.  Click Close.

8.  After Presets are configured, select Tools > Batch Process and click Process.

9.  This is an example of an Assembly report with No Label Consolidation, Saw Files Consolidate at the Project.
