Learn How to Keep Your Roof ON!
Simpson Strong-Tie, the world leader in structural product solutions, and the My Safe Florida Home program are partnering to host an informative webinar for building contractors, roofing contractors, home inspectors and homeowners.
The My Safe Florida Home Program was re-enacted during the most recent Special Session of the Florida Legislature, which funded $200M to the program for the 2024 Fiscal year. The program consists of two primary components:
- Wind Mitigation Home Inspections - All inspections will be provided to eligible homeowners free of charge by the State. Applications will be reviewed and approved in the order in which they are received until current funding is exhausted.
- Wind Mitigation Grant awards for home construction– All inspections will be provided to eligible homeowners by the State.
Target Audience: Contractors, roofing contractors and homeowners.
Learning Objectives:
- Properly reinforce roof-to-wall “hurricane tie” connections
- Improve the strength of roof deck attachments
- Install secondary water resistance barriers for the roof
- Upgrade the roof covering
Participants will have the chance to ask questions during the last 30 minutes.
